p Book ’em. Have shoppers fill out Classroom Wish List bookplates, provided in the Planning Kit for books they purchase.
GREAT Ideas
• Award prizes to teachers if 100 percent of them participate
in the Classroom Wish List program.
• Let students help choose the books they want to have in their homeroom classroom library. Give them the power of choice — they’ll be more excited to read the books available if they’ve picked books they like.
• Advertise the Classroom Wish List with social media in advance of the Fair. Create buzz and link to your Online Fair.*
• Remind teachers they can also create a Classroom Wish List on the Online Fair and email it to parents using the Send Wish List button.
• If teachers miss the Book Fair Preview, use pre-populated donation slips that list middle school choices perfect for classroom libraries. Place them into the teachers’ book donation slip pockets. Toolkit keyword: DONATION SLIP
