Michael Salinger has been writing and performing poetry and ction for over 30 years. He is a xture in the poetry and education community, teaching in over 200 communities in more than 50 countries. After a 23-year stint as a quality engineer for an automotive manufacturer, he transitioned to a career as a full-time writer, workshop facilitator, and literacy consultant. He has published books of poetry
for youth and adults, as well as co-authored professional books for teachers and administrators with his partner-in-rhyme, Sara Holbrook. His latest publication is From Striving to Thriving for Writers, co-authored with Sara and Stephanie Harvey, published by Scholastic. Mr. Schu (AKA John Schu) is a blogger, a part-time lecturer at Rutgers University, and the Ambassador of School Libraries for Scholastic Book Fairs®. Every day is a giant book party for this teacher-librarian! In fact, Library Journal named him “The Xtreme Librarian” for the high level of exertion — along with some gears and stunts — he uses to get kids reading, and Instructor Magazine named him a “Cool Teacher” for rede ning what it means to be a teacher- librarian. John served on the 2014 Newbery committee, which named the
title Flora and Ulysses: The Illuminated Adventures “the most distinguished contribution to children’s literature.” John is one of the contributors to The Creativity Project: An Awesomeatastic Story Collection and blogs daily at MrSchuReads.com. Colby Sharp is a fth-grade teacher at Parma Elementary School. He is the co- founder of Nerdy Book Club, the co-planner of Nerd Camp Michigan, the editor of The Creativity Project: An Awesomeatastic Story Collection, and co-author of Game Changer!
