Goals
Setting and sharing attainable goals motivates and unites your school community.
Setting a goal for your Book Fair is a crucial first step in setting your Book Fair up for success, and it’s also one of the easiest!
GREAT Ideas
• Be specific if you are setting a numerical goal. For example: Sell 1,000 books.
• Pick an idea or an event you haven’t tried before to generate excitement, such as a Grand Event or an All for BooksTM coin challenge.
• Visit the Fair Planner Goal Setting section in the Chairperson’s Toolkit. • Share your goal on your Book Fair homepage. Get started at
scholastic.com/cptoolkit.
• Use this Ideas Guidebook as a starting place for how to make your goals a
reality — the ideas are all here for you!
Additional goals to consider:
• Increase student independent reading.
• Earn Scholastic DollarsTM to get books and resources for the library.* • Increase family participation at the Book Fair.
