PRESENTERS
Lynsey Burkins has been an educator for 15 years in Dublin, Ohio, in  rst through third grades, as well as a literacy coach and technology integration specialist. Burkins received her Master’s degree from Ohio State University in language, literacy, and culture, with a focus on critical literacy. She has presented at NCTE, ILA, OCTE, Nerd Camp, and The Dublin Literacy Conference. She has written pieces for Scholastic Magazines and Classroom Communities and is a contributor to Game Changer! by Donalyn Miller and Colby Sharp. She has a book being published by Rethinking Schools and is a member of the council for National Council of Teachers of English, as well as her local school literacy council.

Angela Cervantes is the author of several beloved contemporary middle-grade novels, including: Gaby, Lost and Found; Allie, First at Last; Me, Frida and the Secret of the Peacock Ring; Coco: The Junior Novelization that accompanied
the 2017 blockbuster Disney/Pixar movie; and her newest middle-grade novel, Lety Out Loud (Scholastic). Angela began writing her stories featuring Latina main characters when she was nine years old because she wanted books about girls like her and her friends and family. Rhonda Jenkins has been in her school district for 20 years. She has taught third grade,  fth grade, and served as a reading specialist at the high-school level. Currently, she is the library media center director at Kendall Elementary School
in Naperville, Illinois. Her current position is a marriage of everything she loves: books, technology, students, making, and teaching! She is a true technology nerd. She’s a Certifed Google Trainer and a Microsoft Innovative Educator. She’s also an avid reader and loves languages, gardening, remodeling, and learning! JoEllen McCarthy is a self-proclaimed literacy geek. With more than 20 years
as an educator, as well as degrees from Loyola University Maryland, NYU, and Hofstra University, she works collaboratively in schools and districts to support best instructional practices, co-teaching, planning, literacy coach support, demonstration lessons, and constructing curriculum.
