Raise money in fun ways to buy more books.
Hosting an All for Books program as part of your Book Fair is an easy way to raise funds to purchase much-needed books for your library, your teachers’ class- rooms, students who need assistance buying books, or a charity of your choice.
The best part is that The Scholastic Possible Fund matches every All for Books donation, up to $1 million in books, distributing them to organizations, such as: Kids in Need Foundation, Reader to Reader, Inc., and the National Center for Families Learning!

GREAT Ideas
• Place the All for Books container, found in the Planning Kit, near checkout. Hand out book slips to anyone who makes a donation. Toolkit keyword: BOOK SLIP
• At checkout, ask shoppers to round up their purchase as a donation.
• Be sure to let everyone know what the donation will be used for.
• Watch the All for Books informational videos to learn more about the program. Toolkit keyword: ALL FOR BOOKS
All for Books Coin Challenge:
Kick off an All for Books schoolwide coin challenge, where students donate loose change each day. Follow these simple steps below:
1. Identify who will receive the books purchased with the donations.
2. Place a collection container for each grade level inside the Book Fair.
3. Designate a different coin for each day of
the week: Collect pennies on Monday,
nickels on Tuesday, dimes on Wednesday, quarters on Thursday, and any coin on Friday.
4. Remind students daily through advertising, including stickers to wear home.
5. Count the totals each day and share the results to motivate students.
6. Award a prize to the winning grade level!
