GREAT Ideas
• Brainstorm simple, clever slogans that promote your Fair, books, and reading. Repeat the slogans in phone calls, letters, emails, posters, and social media to help it stick in parents’ minds.
• Start advertising early! Share Book Fair teasers three to four weeks before you kick off Book Fair week.
• Let students write short “book hooks” about books they love. Find an Enchanted Forest- inspired book hook template in the Toolkit. Toolkit keyword: BOOK HOOK
• Follow #mybookfair for advertising ideas from your fellow chairpeople.
• Encourage teachers and Student Crew members to share booktalks* – in class or during morning announcements. Toolkit keyword: BOOKTALK
• Recruit some students to promote the Fair with signs and sandwich boards in school hallways and in the drop-off/pickup areas outside.
