might not otherwise participate • Encourages multiple visits
GREAT Ideas
• Create games such as the Cactus Toss and Bean Bag Vault Toss. For each book purchase, kids get to play for the chance to win a prize. Toolkit keyword: GAME
• Launch a design contest. Ask students to create wanted signs. Choose winners in different categories, such as most creative and best illustrated.
• Plan dress-up days for each day of Book Fair week! Students who dress up can be given a raffle ticket to enter for a chance to win a prize.
• Set up the prize pickup inside your Fair so students are sure to visit multiple times.
u A ticket, a basket. Create a few raffle baskets with items that your students would like, such as games and candy. Make them as big or small as you want. Hand out raffle tickets to students for participation. Ask them to place their tickets in the basket they’d like to win.
